OLED Displays

OLED is an acronym for organic light-emitting diode, a technology in which LEDs create displays thanks to the light produced in the diodes by organic molecular action. Unlike an LCD (liquid crystal display), an OLED display does not require a backlight source as the LEDs emit their own light when they are placed between conductors and a current applied.
